Cultural Secretary

Tasmia Kamal is an Early Years Practitioner with the City of Edinburgh Council and holds a degree from Edinburgh College. She is passionate about working with children, supporting her community and promoting cultural engagement.

A talented singer with a deep love for Bengali music, Tasmia received her musical training in Bangladesh and regularly performs at cultural events organised by Bangladeshi community organisations, including BAG and BPA.

Alongside her professional career, Tasmia is actively involved in community and charitable activities. As Cultural Secretary, she is committed to promoting Bengali culture, music and the arts, while encouraging greater community participation and creating opportunities for people to connect, celebrate and share their talents.
